Artist statement:
Lowell Morris is an artist with more than 20 years of professional experience. As a graduate of Emily Carr University of Art and Design in Vancouver, BC, his works have been shown in galleries throughout Greater Vancouver and Winnipeg.
His artwork is based on themes from nature. He also paints and draws commissioned, classical style portraiture of people, pets, and homes.
Lowell also works as an art teacher, and is instructor of flute at the Powell River Academy of Music. When not working at artistic pursuits, he spends as much time as possible in the outdoors, on sea kayak expeditions or hiking and backcountry skiing in the local mountains.
